The Summer Sizzler International Distance Triathlon August 2nd 2008 Race photo's and report below... Just a short update to let you know about packet pickup and late registration Friday evening from 5-8pm at the Lake Chatuge Lodge (Ramada Inn) next to Shoneys. We will open registration Saturday morning at 6am from the race site at the Ga Mountain Fairgrounds, Hwy 76, Hiawassee Ga Get there early to get a good spot on the bike racks.
8th Annual International Distance Triathlon Ga Mt Fairgrounds Hwy 76 Sign In: 6:00am Start: 8am 8/10 mile swim, 23 mile road bike and 4 mile run. The Ga Mt Fairgrounds is located on Hwy 76 just past the Shoney's on the north side of the road. The water is still clean and the roads are lightly traveled for the bike portion of the race. Register before July 20th Late or day of race fee: Included in that price is a one day $10. membership to the USAT. If you can show a current USAT card, there will be a refund at the race site.
