This is a fun and challenging race that starts off with an 1.2 mile swim in our beautiful and clean Lake Chatuge. You won't feel like you need to shower when you get out though, then its onto the lightly traveled roads for a 56 mile bike race that is a scenic tour of the North Ga. and Western NC mountains. When you get back to the transition you get to enjoy a great run that takes you along the campgrounds and across the Chatuge Dam that has 360 degree views that will make you wish you had a camera with you. It will be a two lap course of 6.5 miles of running and visual eye candy back to the finish and your final time. This is the kind of race venue that you may decide to bring the family to so that everyone can enjoy the day. There is a children's playground right at the transition area and if you need a baby sitter to watch your kids when your competing and you let us know in advance, we have been able to get someone there to keep an eye on the kids. All in all, this is a very fun, challenging and friendly race for you and your family to enjoy. We offer a super sprint race the following day for beginners and seasoned racers to enjoy and end the weekend with a kids sprint triathlon that the whole family gets to enjoy. So, if you are an Ironman or woman and still want to bring the less seasoned racer with you, we have something for everyone. We hope to see you here. Map to race: Clay County Recreation Park Rd Hayesville, NC 28904
